101 Films, an Amcomri Media Group company in association with Picture Perfect Ltd. have announced the start date for principal photography for forthcoming crime thriller ‘Code of Silence’. Stephen Moyer (True Blood, The Gifted) and Alec Newman (Greyhawk, Strike Back) lead the cast with filming scheduled to commence in March 2021.
The movie will be produced by Picture Perfect’s Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar and Jeet Thakrar alongside Michael Walker for 101 Films. The movie will be fully financed by 101 Films with Andy Lyon and Andy Taylor on board as Executive Producers.
Written by Luke Bailey and directed by Ben Mole, the story is set in the 60’s and follows Detective Nipper Read (Moyer) who is tasked with the impossible mission of bringing the city back to the rule of law. As he faces bent cops, political backstabbing, and terrified witnesses, Nipper becomes increasingly obsessed with breaking the code of silence. Everyone knows the gangsters responsible, but no one will go on the record. Nipper will push the rules, his moral compass, and his own sense of who he is, to the breaking point. The true story of the price paid by the man who caught the Great Train Robbers and the Kray twins.
